Rolfe Kent - DEXTER opening theme

The english composer Rolfe Kent not only wrote the main title of Dexter but also a bunch of soundtracks for films such as About Schmidt, Freaky Friday, Election, The Matador, Reign Over Me and Thank You for Smoking, etc. Dexter's opening credits makes a very good description of the main character. Thrilling but at the same burlesque, the tune fits just perfectly.

Little Boxes -Malvina Reynolds

And yet another one for the TV section. This time is the song used in Weeds. Recorded by Malvina Reynolds in 1963, it renders a tongue-in-the-cheek critic to the suburbian life. A fantastic idea from the producers was to use different versions from the same song, so as the season of Weeds advances, we can listen this funny song covered by artists such as Elvis Costello, Regina Spektor, Linkin Park, The Decemberists, Engelbert Humperdinck, etc.

Alabama 3 - Wake up this morning

For the new TV opening themes section, a real classic one, The Sopranos theme. Made by the quite flaamboyant band of techno-country Alabama 3. The credits use just a small part of a really good song. To listen the complete version, go here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iYtDqHupwrg

Down in the hole - DoMaJe

Here's a new section, furthermore than videoclips, I'm going to post also good songs that are being used as opening theme for TV series...
the first one, a remix made by DoMaJe of the clasic song "Down in the hole". If you like the song, search for the version of The Blind Boys of Alabama, it's pure blues but full of groove.
